TrolMaster Aqua-X Irrigation Control System: Water Detection

The Aqua-X Water Detector (WD-1) can be used in one of two ways. First, it can be used to simply monitor the floor or a space for water… as a leak-detector. The other way the WC-1 can be used is as a water-verification monitor. When used in this way, the water detector is placed where runoff will accumulate (or where water is being introduced to the growing medium). Each output (solenoid or pump) on the Aqua-x can be “assigned” to a specific WD-1. Every time the solenoid or pump assigned to the WD-1 is activated by the Aqua-X, the WD-1 must detect water within a adjustable delay time. If water is not detected (pump or solenoid failure) the Aqua-x will send out a user alert notifying of the “irrigation failure”. Up to 25 WD-1 can be connected to a single Aqua-X.

Two water detectors (WD-1/2) can be uased to activate the new Auto-Fill function on the Aqua-X Pro. One water detector will be positioned at the bottom of the nutrient tank and one at the top of the tank. When the liquid level drops below the bottom sensor, the Aqua-X Pro will activate a solenoid, or pump and the tank will fill back up to the sensor at the top.

*The WD sensors can only detect water leaks from municipal, well or nutrient-infused water. Reverse Osmosis / RO water may have such low dissolved solids content, that the Water Detector will not be able to detect RO water leaks.

The Water Content Sensor w/ Cable Set (WCS-1) allows the user to monitor the % of water / nutrients within the growing medium. The moisture level / water content is displayed in real-time on the WCS module itself, the Aqua-x and the APP. That data is displayed on a graph (through the APP) and helps the user visualize the dry-down time, and to make adjustments to their irrigation timers / irrigation cycles. Up to 8 WCS-1 can be connected to a single Aqua-x. When multiple WCS-1 are connected to a single Aqua-X, the displayed value on the Aqua-x and APP will be the AVERAGE of all of the sensors.

Monitoring your grow medium for proper water content % and EC is an important factor in high-yield growing applications. TrolMaster understands that today's method of "crop steering" involves more precise control of the amount of nutrient and the nutrient strength within the grow medium in order to achieve the best results.

The 3-in-1 Water Content Sensor (WCS-2) provides the users with an accurate and simple way to monitor your grow medium. The WCS-2 consists of a multi-prong sensor assembly that is inserted into your grow medium. Once the WCS-2 is calibrated to your grow medium and your nutrients, you will get constant readings from the WCS-2 providing the actual water content within the grow medium, the temperature of the grow medium and also the EC within the grow medium. You can even select alarm "limits" for each variable being monitored by the WCS-2 to send remote notifications through the TrolMaster or TM+ apps.
